“Some feelings bloom quietly… but change everything.

In Ajmer ,
Avnita - The next day, when she woke up, everything seemed just like usual—she woke up late, the same way she always did. But today felt different. There was a strange uneasiness in her heart, as if something bad was about to happen, a feeling she couldn’t understand nor ignore. Her mind kept hinting that something was going to go wrong, something she had never even imagined, yet she had no idea what it could be. Lost in her thoughts, she drifted so deep that she completely lost awareness of her surroundings. Overthinking had taken over her entirely, and even her usual routine—going to the temple and offering prayers—felt distant and unimportant. She remained trapped in her own world, a world filled only with her thoughts and the quiet fear they carried.
She was so deeply lost in her thoughts that the world around her seemed to fde away, leaving her completely unaware of everything happening around her. Just then, her sister Santika entered the room, only to pause at the doorway, confused and slightly worried by the unusual sight in front of her. She had never seen her like this before—so distant, so disconnected. Something had definitely changed, and Santika couldn’t ignore the fact that it all started after she had seen Vedant. A strange uneasiness settled in her heart as she observed her for a moment, trying to understand what was going on. Slowly, she stepped closer and gently shook her, hoping to bring her back to reality. But the reaction she got was unexpected—she flinched sharply, as if someone had pulled her out of a deep, haunting trance. Her eyes widened with fear, and for a second, it felt like she didn’t even recognize where she was. Saanvika’s concern instantly grew stronger as she frowned and asked, “What happened to you? Why do you look so scared? I just shook you lightly…”
As soon as Avnita came back to her senses, the first thing she did waslook at Saanvika, trying to figure out if something had happened or if she had noticed anything. But from Saqnvika’s expression, it was clear that she had no idea what Avnita had just gone through. So, answering her question, Avnita said, “No, nothing happened. I was just looking at the painting on the wall in front of my bed, observing it closely… noticing all its details.”
Hearing this, Saanvika responded,“Since when do you observe paintings like that?” The features and details of the painting made her slightly suspicious. She couldn’t ignore the doubt forming in her mind, because Avnita had never paid this kind of attention to pictures before.
When Avnita heard Sanvika’s question, she froze for a moment, unsure of what to say so that Saanvika wouldn’t doubt her. Composing herself, she calmly replied, “Sanvi, it’s nothing like that. Don’t overthink… and anyway, we’re going to Jaipur today, right? So go get ready.”
Hearing this, Saanvika let the topic go and said, “Haan di, I’ve been ready for o long—it’s just you who’s still not ready,” making a small pout since it was already quite late for Avnita to wake up. Seeing her like that, Avnita let out a small laugh and said, “Arre, I was really tired, that’s why I ended up sleeping late. Don’t worry, I’ll be ready and come downstairs in half an hour.”
“Okay di,” Saanvika replied, “I’ll pack your things and get them placed in the car.”
Saying this, Avnita went into the bathroom to get ready, while Saanvika stayed back, packing some of her clothes into the suitcase and asking one of the staff members to place it in the car.

At Jaipur ,
The weather in Jaipur that day was incredibly beautiful—so pleasant that it felt as if the city was being gently embraced by it. Everywhere there was greenery, blooming flowers, and birds chirping, filling the air with their melodies. People were busy with their own lives, yet the charm of Jaipur’s weather stood out effortlessly. It wasn’t too hot, nor too cold—just perfectly balanced. There was something about it that could instantly lift anyone’s mood; even if someone felt low, one look at Jaipur’s weather would surely make them feel better, more relaxed, and completely refreshed.
I had just woken up when my sister Meher came in and said in her dramatic tone, “Bhaiya, are you seriously still sleeping? You haven’t even woken up yet! The Rana Sahab of Ajmer, Rani Sahab, and their entire family are coming to our house today. Is this how you’re going to welcome them? You’re the Rana of Jaipur—you should be up already, checking all the preparations. Dad is getting angry. Now get up quickly!”
The way Meher spoke—in her slightly irritating yet cute voice—made me laugh a little. I looked at her and said, “Relax, kid, relax. There’s no need to rush like this. I’ve already spoken to them—they’ll be arriving a bit late, not this early. And all the preparations have been done over the past few days. We just have to welcome them now, nothing much.”
Hearing this, Meher said, “Fine, bhaiya, just get ready quickly. And if Dad finds out, I don’t know what will happen between you two…”
At that moment, my expression changed. The softness on my face faded, replaced by a more serious look. In a slightly deeper voice, I said, “No one has the courage to scare Vedant.”
Meher immediately understood the shift in my tone. She knew that if she said anything further, it wouldn’t end well for her. So, she quietly backed off and said, “Okay, bhaiya… I’m going. You just get ready quickly.”
With that, she left my room.
I stood there for a moment, calming myself down and trying to relax before heading to the bathroom to get ready.
The water ran cold against his skin, but it did little to quiet the unrest inside him. I stood under the shower longer than usual, letting the silence settle around me, yet my thoughts refused to slow down. Something about the day felt… off. I couldn’t explain it, but the feeling clung to me stubbornly.
After a while, i stepped out, getting ready with my usual composed precision. Every movement was controlled, every detail perfect—just like always. Being who he was, there was no room for carelessness. Not today.
As i adjusted my watch and glanced at my reflection, my expression hardened slightly. The calm, collected exterior was back in place, hiding whatever storm had briefly surfaced within my.
“Rana of Jaipur…” i murmured under my breath, a faint, unreadable smile touching my lips. “Let’s see how this day unfolds.”
Stepping out of my room, the mansion already felt alive. Staff members moved quickly, finalizing preparations, their voices low but hurried. The atmosphere carried a mix of excitement and pressure—after all, welcoming the Rana family of Ajmer was no ordinary affair.
Vedang walked down the stairs with quiet authority, his presence alone enough to straighten the energy around him. A few staff members immediately lowered their gaze, greeting him respectfully as he passed.
His eyes scanned everything—every detail, every arrangement. Nothing escaped him.
“Everything should be perfect,” he said firmly, his voice calm but leaving no room for mistakes.
“Yes, sir,” came the immediate response.
Outside, the pleasant Jaipur weather continued to paint the day in soft hues, but within him, that strange uneasiness still lingered.
And for the first time in a long while, Vedang couldn’t ignore it.
Because somewhere deep down…
it felt like today wasn’t just another day.
It was the beginning of something he couldn’t control.

The mirror reflected a version of her that looked completely normal—calm, composed, perfectly fine.
But she knew better.
Avnita stood still for a moment, her fingers lightly gripping the edge of the dressing table as her thoughts refused to settle. Even after getting ready, even after trying to distract herself, that strange uneasiness from the morning hadn’t left her. It lingered… quietly, deeply.
She adjusted her dupatta, taking a slow breath, trying to convince herself that everything was alright.
“It’s just in your head…” she whispered softly.
But her mind didn’t agree.
The same feeling returned—
that something was about to happen. Something she wasn’t ready for.
Shaking off the thought, she stepped out of her room. The house was already filled with movement—voices, footsteps, small chaos of preparation. Everyone seemed busy, excited even… but she felt oddly disconnected from it all.
“Avnita, jaldi karo!” someone called from downstairs.
“Coming!” she replied, forcing a normal tone.
As she walked down the stairs, her eyes instinctively scanned everything, yet her mind remained somewhere else entirely. Even the beautiful Ajmer weather, so calm and refreshing, failed to ease the restlessness inside her.
She paused for a second near the entrance, her hand subconsciously tightening around her phone.
Why did it feel like this day wasn’t going to be normal?
Why did her heart feel so heavy… for no clear reason?
And most importantly—
why did it feel like her life was about to change in a way she couldn’t stop?
For a brief moment, a face flashed across her mind—
Vedang.
She froze.
The memory was unclear, fleeting… but the feeling it brought was strong enough to make her heart skip a beat.
“No…” she murmured under her breath, quickly shaking her head. “It’s nothing.”
But deep down, she knew—
this wasn’t nothing.
Taking a deep breath, she stepped forward, unknowingly walking toward
a moment that would change everything.

Avnita and her family finally set out for Jaipur, the journey stretching over two long days before they reached their destination.
As their car entered the grand gates of Vedang’s palace, everything around them seemed to transform into something almost unreal.
The moment they stepped out, they were welcomed in the most magnificent way—rose petals showered over them from all sides, painting the air with fragrance and elegance. The palace stood tall and regal, reflecting power, legacy, and pride in every detail.
Just then, from the front entrance, the former Rana of Jaipur, Chandraprakash Ji—Vedang’s father—walked toward them with a dignified aura. A few staff members followed closely behind him, maintaining the royal decorum of the moment.
As soon as he approached, Avnita’s father, Rana Amar Singh, stepped forward. The two men shared a warm yet respectful embrace, a gesture that carried years of bond, honor, and unspoken understanding.
Soon after, Chandraprakash Ji turned slightly and took a garland from one of the staff members standing behind him. With a graceful smile, he placed it around Amar Singh’s neck, marking a grand and heartfelt welcome
The atmosphere was filled with tradition, respect, and a quiet intensity—
as if this meeting wasn’t just about families…
but about something much bigger waiting to unfold.
Soon, the Queen of Jaipur, Rani Karnavati, arrived gracefully, her presence carrying elegance and authority. Along with her, Avnita and Saanvika were warmly welcomed, as Rani Karnavati of Ajmer greeted them with traditional rituals and gentle smiles, making them feel honored and respected.
Rani Karnavati then gestured for them to come inside, her movements calm yet commanding, inviting them into the palace.
As Avnita stepped forward and placed her first foot inside the grand palace, something shifted within her.
A strange, unexplainable feeling washed over her.
For a moment, it felt as if this place wasn’t new to her… as if she had been here before
or perhaps, as if she was meant to return here.
A thought crossed her mind so suddenly that it made her heart skip
Was she going to come here again… or stay here forever?
The feeling was overwhelming, yet strangely comforting.
Standing there at the entrance, she drifted back into her thoughts once again. Questions began to rise within her, one after another—
Was this real?
Could she see Vedang again?
Would they meet today?
Would they talk… even if just for a moment?
Her heart started racing at the mere thought of him.
Maybe today…
maybe this very day…
their paths would cross again.
While she was lost in all these thoughts, Saanvika noticed that she had once again drifted away, standing still instead of moving forward. Walking up to her, she gently shook her, bringing her back to reality.
Avnita blinked, coming back to her senses, only to find SaAnvika raising one eyebrow at her.
“Di… where do you keep getting lost again and again?” she asked, a mix of curiosity and concern in her voice. “What are you thinking about that makes you zone out every single time?”
Avnita hesitated for a second but quickly composed herself. “Sanvi, it’s nothing,” she said lightly. “I was just looking at the interior of the palace… it’s really beautiful.”
Saanvika didn’t look convinced. She stepped a little closer, her eyes soft but questioning. “Di, why are you lying to me? If something’s bothering you, you can tell me… you can share it with me.”
The concern in her voice was clear—genuine and protective toward her elder sister.
Avnita gave a small reassuring smile and said, “Baccha, it’s really nothing. I’m perfectly fine, okay? Now come, let’s go inside. If Mom and Dad find out we’re still standing here, they’ll get angry.”
After a brief pause, Saanvika nodded, choosing to trust her for now.
And together, the two of them walked inside—
unaware of what awaited them ahead.
As the two of them stepped inside, a vast grand hall opened before them. The interior was breathtaking—every detail crafted with perfection, reflecting pure royalty. In the center of the hall stood a large square-shaped seating arrangement, elegant and perfectly placed.
But what truly captured attention was above it.
A magnificent chandelier hung from the ceiling, glowing like a masterpiece. Its intricate detailing, the delicate work of gold, diamonds, and shimmering stones, made it look almost unreal. It sparkled with such brilliance that it was impossible to look away. Words felt insufficient to describe its beauty—it was simply mesmerizing. Anyone who looked at it would fall in love instantly.
Avnita’s gaze lifted toward it, and she froze.
For a moment, everything else faded away. She found herself completely drawn to the chandelier, silently admiring its beauty, unable to look away.
“Di, look at that chandelier… isn’t it beautiful?” Saanvika said, following her gaze.
Avnita simply nodded, her eyes still fixed on it.
Saanvika smiled slightly and added, “Di, I wish we had something like this in our palace too. It looks so pretty… should we ask Dad to take this one to Ajmer?”
That snapped Avnita out of her thoughts. She let out a small laugh and said, “Are you crazy? We can’t just take someone else’s belongings like that. We’ll get one made for our palace in Ajmer—something just as beautiful.”
Saanvika chuckled softly, agreeing with her.
Yet even as the conversation ended, Avnita’s eyes drifted back to the chandelier—
as if something about it felt strangely familiar…
Just then, Avnita heard Rani Sahiba’s voice calling out to them, “Will you both keep standing there, or will you come inside? Sit down and have something to eat and drink. You’ve come from so far—you must be tired.”
Saanvika immediately walked ahead, but Avnita stayed back for a few more seconds, her eyes still fixed on the chandelier. Something about it kept pulling her in.
Only after a moment did she finally turn away and follow inside.
She sat down on the sofa, quietly having a little food, though her mind was still elsewhere. After a while, she looked up at Rani Sahiba Tarabai and politely said, “Rani Sahiba, where is the washroom? I’d like to freshen up.”
Rani Sahiba smiled gently and replied, “Come, beta. I’ll show you and Saanvika your rooms. You can freshen up there and then come downstairs for lunch.”
The three of them walked together, and soon Rani Sahiba showed both Avnita and Saanvika their respective rooms.
As soon as they entered, Avnita went inside to freshen up, while Saanvika casually lay down on the bed, scrolling through her phone, finally relaxing after the long journey.
But even as Avnita stepped into the washroom…
that strange feeling still hadn’t left her.
After a while, Avnita stepped out of the washroom, feeling fresh. As soon as she came out, she noticed that Saanvika was still lying on the bed, completely absorbed in her phone.
“Sanvi, you’re still on your phone? Go and freshen up,” Avnita said. “We just came after such a long journey.”
Saanvika, without even looking up, replied lazily, “Di, why should I bathe right now? I’m not going. My whole body is aching.”
Avnita frowned slightly. “What happened? Why is your body hurting so much?”
Making a face, Saanvika replied, “Nothing happened. It’s just because of the long travel—my back is completely done.”
Before Avnita could say anything else, the sound of the door opening caught both their attention. Instantly, their eyes shifted toward the entrance.
The door opened, and Meher walked in, stepping inside with a small smile. “Hi,” she greeted casually.
Avnita smiled back politely. “Hi.”
Meher stepped a little closer and said, “I’m Meher, daughter of Rana Sahab Chandraprakash and Rani Sahiba Tarabai.”
“Oh, nice to meet you,” Avnita replied warmly.
Meher then asked, “And you both?”
Avnita answered, “We are the daughters of Rana Sahab Amar Singh and Rani Sahiba Karnavati. I’m the elder one, Avnita, and she’s my younger sister, Saanvika.”
After the introductions, the atmosphere quickly grew comfortable. Within minutes, the three of them were sitting together on the bed, talking and laughing as if they had known each other for a long time.
Their vibes matched effortlessly, and a natural connection formed between the—
the kind that doesn’t need time, just the right moment.
And just like that, strangers turned into something close to friends.
And unknowingly, just a few steps away from that room…
the person Avnita had been thinking about all this time—
was finally about to walk into her life again.
